Letter of Intro

I am a writer, researcher, and student eager to grasp the lessons in this English class, including my vocabulary and writing skills. As a writer, I have many strengths, but also weaknesses which I aspire to improve. For example, I am very creative when it comes to writing. I have always been able to write about any topic given to me. Also, ever since I started writing, I have become an open minded person open to any topic of discussion. I simply write down the topic being spoken about, and I am able to include all details on the subject. On the other hand, some of my weaknesses include time management and lack of focus. I tend to take an extremely long time for lengthy writing assignments simply because I try too hard to make sure it is perfect, rather than trusting myself, my ability to write a superb paper, and my peers. Also, if the writing assignment is long, I lose focus and begin to think about negative aspects. For example, I tend to focus on the quantity rather than the quality due to insecurities on my writing.

I am now on my second semester as a freshman, and my college experience has been better than expected. In order to maintain a satisfying GPA, I spent hours in school because I knew that I was able to focus more on my assignments and studying, since doing work at home never really worked for me. I learned how to manage my time correctly and multi-task between assignments. I also learned the importance of having a planner, whether it is electronically or manually.
